A Tear Drop Fell from Heaven

    by Sandy Stringfellow

A tear drop fell from Heaven
From a mote in God's eye
    Reflecting consternation
    Rippling the sea of time

He said, "I gave you Freedom
And a place to make it grow
In the land you call America
To be loved with heart and soul"

"A place to be a beacon
For all the world to see
    Where individuals compete
    In My land of Liberty"

    "I inspired your Founding Fathers
    Great men of moral strength
    With appreciation and humility
    They gave thanks to Me"

"My Son showed you the Way
    Through His words and deeds
To guide you and provide you
    With everything you need"

    For Want of a Nail

    by Robert Arvay

(This section will be included in the next revision of Robert’s book, “The Ten Thousand Proofs of God”)

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.

For want of a shoe the horse was lost.

For want of a horse the rider was lost.

For want of a rider the battle was lost.

For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.

And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

History is replete with examples of small details that had dramatic impacts on the world. If no one ever said it, let me be the first. All wars are won or lost by a single, well placed arrow, bullet or bomb. Of course, that may be an overstatement, but probably not by much. For example, the history of the Battle of Midway Island in World War 2 includes numerous instances of minor details that turned the tide of battle against the formidable enormity of the Japanese fleet. Had any one of those minor details worked in favor of the Japanese instead of for the Americans, we might all be slaves of brutal overlords. That would be very dramatic indeed.

    “King Barry’s Big Adventure”

    by Sandy Stringfellow

It’s undoubtedly true there are more pressing foreign policy issues. King Barry’s abandonment of Israel and the embracing of Islamic regimes come to mind, behavior that’s seemingly fueled by anti-Semitic passion and driven by his inner-Muslim self. But I’m still trying to get over what our King did to their Queen.

It wasn’t the collection of his speeches that he gave Queen Elizabeth II, nor was it the tactless and heavy-handed treatment his wife displayed when in the presence of this British icon; although both incidents were an embarrassment.

Governor Palin Urges Union Members: Show True Solidarity in Wisconsin

In her Facebook Notes published yesterday, Friday, February 18, 2011, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin urged union members to opt for 'commonsense' solutions to the impasse in Wisconsin instead of 'kowtowing' to union bosses:

"...My message then and now to good union brothers and sisters is that you have another option. You don’t have to kowtow to the union bosses who are not looking out for you, but instead are using you. You can join millions of other union members in a commonsense movement to help fight for the right causes in our great country – for budgets that share the burden in a truly fair way and for commonsense reforms that take power away from vested interests like union bosses and big business lobby groups, and put it back where it belongs – with “We the People.”

"How We Lost the “Leave it to Beaver” Family in America"

Some of you will remember that “All American” television family, the Cleavers. The Cleavers were just about perfect in every way, the epitome of an upper middle class family featuring a wise and patient father, Ward, his wife, June, the ideal wife and impeccably-groomed homemaker in pearls and starched apron and their two sons: the impetuous and misadventure-prone son Theodore “The Beaver” Cleaver Jerry Mathers, Barbara Billingsley, Tony Dowand his older brother, Wally. The television series revolved around the two boys, who were always in some sort of trouble, however, they seem almost angelic by today’s standards. While the Cleavers represented America’s perception of the typical 1950’s family, this depiction of domesticity was a nearly accurate portrayal for this era.   http://www.theboldpursuit.com/jwts-journal/2011/2/7/how-we-lost-the-leave-it-to-beaver-family-in-america.htm

"Young Conservatives: New Patriots on the Rise" by Cynthia Toney

While some young liberals of the 1960’s were “finding” themselves in drugs, free love and violence, 90 young conservatives met at the Sharon, Connecticut estate of William F. Buckley Jr. to lay the groundwork for the first national conservative youth organization, Young Americans for Freedom.

Since that time, America’s conservative youth continue to speak the unabashed truth – for all of us.
